RSS making inroads in Punjab. My ideaflash.

Today as we see the article published by The Tribune, Chandigarh edition about RSS making inroads in Punjab we come closer as to how a right winged organisation, particularly a Hindu represented group has done such a feat in Punjab. Particularly this happened because the people of Punjab had no other options. Look at it this way:
1. Drug menace,
2. Rampant unemployment among youth amid of course rising population.
These are the reasons why this happened. Drugs are not over and out in Punjab even as I write these words. This blame goes to the ruling Akalis of course. They have fostered this trade in Punjab. I believe they are business people. Their family own a famous bus network in Punjab. They have stakes in the hospitality industry. So now undercover is their drug trade business. I have reliable information that all kinds of addictions were available to village youth at all price range even when reports came in the newspapers that the the ruling government in Punjab were ” doing all it can to uproot this menace”. Now the question arises how this happened when Law and Order existed in Punjab. As we all by now should know the Police of Punjab was never an independent authority. Now please let us not blame the Akalis for this. It happened when the Congress party ruled the state. Police has always been under the ruling governments. It is an accepted practice in Punjab. How has the drug trade fostered in Punjab? This has its roots in unemployment amongst Punjabi youth. They have really suffered and I feel their pain. After the tragedy of militancy this now the second tragedy of Punjab in recent times. In villages is the major population of Punjab; the peasantry. This peasantry has somehow been overlooked in Punjab. First, during militancy the Sikh youth of villages were looked upon by the vast majority as supporters of separatism. They were projected as a threat to the unity and integrity of India anyway. Actually many of the suffering Sikh youth were liquidated as many Human Rights people and other independent authorities know this truth. The Congress party has a fair share in this kind of atrocity during the militancy period. Today when there is peace the same people or the same legacy; which were earlier dubbed as militancy oriented now are under heavy debts due mainly dwindling land holdings and stagnant industry leading to mass unemployment are turning to drugs. So who is to blame? The ruling parties were encouraging populist measures to increase their vote bank. So who cares? Who takes collective responsibility for Punjab’s past and her future? Nobody. No! Nobody is confused. Every party takes as it comes and is too narrow minded to tackle the vexing issues facing the state of Punjab. First and foremost industry has to set a heavy footprint in Punjab. Then education and health facilities have to be augmented. Then the problems that exist will vanish into thin air. Yes all this is possible if somebody frames responsible five year plans and ten year plans. And such parties are yet to see the light of the day. If these problems are tackled will somebody be able to use the real force of Punjab and combat extremist forces. Then will dawn the true development of Punjab.
